The MPH program strives to assist every admitted UF MPH student with completing and earning their MPH degree. Students who do not enroll in courses at the University of Florida for three or more consecutive terms, including summer term, must apply for readmission. Readmission is not guaranteed. We encourage all applicants to apply well in advance of posted application deadlines.
Application Requirements
- Complete the UF Graduate Readmission application and pay the application fee by the published deadline.
- In the Application Information section, answer “Yes” to you are applying for readmission to the same graduate degree program. Select Location as Distance Education if pursuing an online program format or Main Campus-Gainesville for a campus program format. Program of Study is College of Public Health and Health Professions; select Public Health or Degree Name – Master of Public Health and the term you wish to return. Confirm the program and select your concentration.
- No need to request transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended; UF has these on file from your previous MPH application.
- Letters of Recommendation are not required for this application.
- Submit an updated Statement of Purpose to brittanygibson@phhp.ufl.edu addressing the following questions:
What have you been involved in since taking some time away from the University of Florida?
Please include information about employment, service, leadership experiences, research, and/or other areas of relevance that will be useful for the admissions committee.
Do you feel prepared to return to the University of Florida?
What factors and resources will contribute to your success in completing the MPH program?
Planning to Complete your Applied Practice Experience (APE)?
If you will be completing your APE in the semester that you return to UF, please contact the APE Coordinator via phone or email to make sure you complete the required steps to submit your APE proposal and secure your APE site.
