2020 PHHP Outstanding Alumni Awards

Congratulations to Frank Bandiera, PhD, MPH (’07), for being recognized as one of the 13 recipients of the College of Public Health & Health Professions’ Outstanding Alumni Awards.

Dr. Bandiera is an epidemiologist whose research has focused on tobacco use among special and vulnerable populations, especially ethnic minorities, people with mental disabilities and populations with drug addictions. Specifically, he has investigated mortality among persons with substance abuse and mental health challenges, and the difference in tobacco use among special populations. He is currently a program officer in the division of behavioral and social research at the National Institute on Aging.
