Omari Richins, MPH in PHMP 2019, was selected as a community health fellow for a one-year fellowship with the Mat-Su Health Foundation in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough of Alaska.
After graduating in May, he traveled to Alaska to begin the fellowship. Richins says the new job there has been a huge learning curve but he is really enjoying the foundation, his colleagues, and the work they are doing. He adds that Alaska is gorgeous.
