Programs

We offer several Public Health Program options in the College of Public Health and Health Professions. The Master of Public Health (MPH) Program is a 48-credit, 2 year program for college graduates who wish to specialize in one of the six major areas of public health: Biostatistics, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Public Health Management and Policy, Public Health Practice, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. For health professionals interested in expanding their skills or changing careers, a 42-credit accelerated program is available. Collaborative programs with professional programs in the Colleges of Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine are offered, as well as with PhD programs in Clinical and Health Psychology, Health Services Research, and Rehabilitation Science. In addition, collaborative degrees may be developed on an individual basis for other PhD and masters programs at the University of Florida.

For undergraduate students, there are two Public Health options. Qualified seniors may enroll in the combined bachelor’s/MPH program, which allows completion of 15 MPH credits during the senior year. A 15-credit minor is also available to qualified seniors. Finally, we have developed a 15 credit certificate in public health, which is available on campus to graduate students and online to individuals outside the university.
